Haayugm Muuwatsa - Spirit of the otter woman

Haayugm Muuwatsa - Spirit of the otter woman

In former times it is said, that an otter is really the soul of a drowned person or one, which was caught by an otter, who breathed its spirit into you. This mask is representing a drowned princess, which the spirit of the otter has taken into the realm of the inner world. The princess has still a humanistic look, but also the characteristic nose of an otter and the spirit otter on the forehead.

Alder, abalone shell, copper, hair.
